It is the penetrating morning light that invades and blesses everything in its path.


On the palette, the brushes amass colors that dream of being shadow/light, messengers of self caressing its destiny, chasing binding alchemies, impossible perpetuators of magic and timeless essence.

 

If it were possible to eternalize pleasure, the intense peacefulness of the state of the soul alone, beyond feelings, but fugacity (evanescence/impermanence) is a life sentence in the realm that I live in.

 

The real passion remains, the rest is just ash.

María José Aguilar is born in 1964 in the city of Seville, Spain.

From her earliest age she demonstrates artistic inclination and abilities.

She grow up admiring great masters of the History of Painting, especially the Spanish Baroque painters like Murillo, Velázquez, Zurbarán, Valdés Leal ... those that would have a first and great influence on her.
